Stretch therapy involves moving the body in a series of motions and positions that serves to elongate target musculature in order to attain maximum efficiency and functionality. It is applied by trained practitioner to reduce tension, improve muscle length, and increase range of motion. Recent studies have indicated that stretching can enhance athletic performance and reduce the probability of injury when applied appropriately.

The human body is never uniform and often presents with different types of aches and pain. Our practitioners will use their expertise to apply the appropriate techniques and tools based on your body’s ailments. Below are some of the techniques and tools found in our virtual tool box.
Passive-static stretching is a slow-paced, assisted physical activity that involves passively placing the body part with gradual force in a position that elongates the muscle for a prolonged period of time (usually 10-30 seconds). The external force may be a practitioner, an accessory, or the force of gravity.(10)
Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) stretching, also known as pre-contraction stretching, involves the contraction of the muscle being stretched or its antagonist prior to assisted elongation. (5) (10) Types of PNF stretching may include contract relax (CR), hold relax (HR), and contract-relax agonist contract (CRAC). (10)

Thermotherapy refers to the application of moist heat for the purpose of increasing the cutaneous, intra-articular, and core temperature of soft tissue with the intention of improving the symptoms of certain conditions. These include increasing local blood flow, metabolism, edema, and tissue extensibility or decreasing pain and spasms.

Cryotherapy refers to application of cold for the purpose of decreasing the cutaneous, intra-articular, and core temperature of soft tissue with the intention of improving the symptoms of certain conditions. These include decreasing edema, pain, muscle spasm, local blood flow, metabolism, and tissue extensibility.
Cancellation Policy
A 12 hour advance notice is required to reschedule or cancel an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. Failure to do so, will result in a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the anticipated service charge.
No-shows
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” No-show missed appointments will automatically result in full charge for the appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other patients, please plan accordingly and be on time.
Sickness
Massage nor bodywork is not appropriate care for infectious or contagious illness. Please cancel your appointment as soon as you are aware of an infectious or contagious condition. If it is within the 12-hour notice period, the cancellation fee may be waived.
Privacy Rights
You have a right to privacy under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) that includes restricting disclosure of your records and claims to your health plan, including Medicare, if you pay privately for your services at the time of service. If you pay for your services at the time of service, we assume you are exercising this right to privacy we will not disclose your medical records to any third party. If you want your records disclosed to any third party in the future, you will need to obtain and sign our Authorization to Release Protected Health Information form before we will disclose your health information.
